Week 5 Mining City Little Guy Football Primetime Recap: They Could Go All the Way

MINING CITY LITTLE GUYS FOOTBALL PRIMETIME!

“The Fastest Three Minutes in the Mining City!”

DA-DA-DA… DA-DA-DA!

4TH GRADE SHOWDOWN – BEARS VS. PATRIOTS

“Let’s start in the land of juice boxes and jukes — 4th grade style!”

The Newland & Company Bears came out growlin’ early — first play from scrimmage, Cash O’Connor says “Cash it in, baby!” — breaks one, two, three tackles — 40 yards to the house! He could… go… all… the… way! Bears up 7-0!

But the Harrington Pepsi Patriots said, “Hold my Capri Sun.” They battled back behind some wall-moving blocking from Caleb, Colt, Cedric, Gabe, Fischer, and David — the big fellas earning themselves a truckload of pancakes.

Then it’s Ryder rumblin’, stumblin’, bumblin’ down the field — game-winning touchdown! PATRIOTS TAKE THE LEAD!

And how about Johnny G. — his first ever touchdown! Cue the confetti!

On D, Johnny P. was everywhere, swiping the ball not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES! He was a one-man turnover tornado. Add in Finnick, Kole, and Grant bringing the hammer, and the Patriots hang on for a 12–7 victory.

The Bears fought hard — Thane Henke running like he was powered by pure grit, Hudson Clary hauling in clutch catches, and Bridger Tillo, Blake Schoffield, and Logan O’Bryan holding the line like copper miners on payday.

But the Patriots walk away with the “W”! Go Patriots!

4TH GRADE – BENGALS VS. SEAHAWKS

“Cats and Birds in the same cage — somebody’s gonna roar!”

The Universal Athletic/CCCS Bengals came out sharp — Kaden Johnston and Moni Mondloch snagging passes, Nathan Harvey lighting it up with his first touchdown of the season! Speed! Agility! Swagger!

But the Casagranda’s Seahawks — they took that first punch and said “Not today!” After a slow start, Logan “Lazer” Regan hit the ignition — 36 yards to daylight! Touchdown Seahawks!

And then… enter Kasen “Clutch” Carpino — BOOM! 2-point kick through the uprights! And he didn’t stop there — 3-for-3 on the night! Somebody call the NFL!

The defense? Lockdown mode. Case “Bodacious” Chambers, Tucker “Snack-Size” Alt, Carter “Showtime” Edwards, and Bo “Dozer” Alexander said, “No fly zone!”

“Dozer” rips a ball loose, recovers it himself, AND gets an interception — all while bulldozing through five defenders for a 31-yard TD. WHOOP WHOOP!

The Seahawks soar past 24–13, proving once again that when “Lazer,” “Dozer,” and “Clutch” get cooking… it’s lights out.

5TH GRADE – 49ERS VS. COWBOYS

“Copper Mountain was rocking for this one!”

The First Citizens/Monteriors Cowboys rode into town, but the 49ers said “We’re striking gold today!”

First play — Jace “Jukebox” Graham drops back… deep bomb to Kobin “Megatron” Kujawa — he mossed him! 40 yards downfield! Move the chains!

Then Wyatt “T-Bone” Thompson rumbles through defenders — rumblin’, stumblin’, bumblin’ into the end zone! BOOM! Touchdown 49ers!

“Jukebox” adds two more rushing scores, dancing through the defense like he’s got jukes downloaded in HD.

Up front, Rorschach “The Mountain” Melby, Lyle “The Lion” Bradley, and Jaxon “D-Train” Duncan cleared paths like snowplows in January.

Cade “Mack Truck” Salo and Kobin “Megatron” Kujawa kept drives alive — and Cam “Sparkplug” Nicholls, Keane “The Dream” Walsh, and Eme “Queen E” Rauch threw key downfield blocks that would make Madden proud.

On D, Odin “Showtime” Dixon lived in the backfield — sacks, pressure, chaos!

Karson “The Beast” Voss and D-Train clogged the lanes, Cayson “The Flash” Cox shut down the edges, and Connor “The Standard” Gallagher set the tone at linebacker.

Final play, last drive — Cowboys going for the win — but Gracen “The Missile” Bowser launches in, swats it away! BALL GAME!

49ers win it, 22–16!

5TH GRADE – VIKINGS VS. STEELERS

“Oh, the Norsemen were rowin’ the boat this week!”

The McQueen Athletic Vikings unleashed a ground attack so strong it might’ve registered on the Richter scale. Weston Schafer and Bearick McEwen — pounding the rock, pounding the Steelers — touchdown, touchdown, touchdown!

Chase McQueary at QB — calm, cool, and slingin’ darts. Hits Colsyn Crawshaw right before halftime — momentum shift! Then later connects with Blake Vaira for another score!

And don’t forget Crawshaw’s golden foot — extra points? Automatic.

That O-line — James Jones, Oliver & Layne Olson, Tucker Butori, Nick Montoya, Blake Ellingson, Elijah Michaud, Ramon Othon Astorga — a wall of purple power!

Defense? Forget about it.

Oliver Olson, Ellingson, and Layne Olson blew up plays in the trenches, while Camden Rohen, Easton Salmonsen, Fenmore Yerkich, and Hynt Welker shut down the perimeter.

Linebackers Otto Okrusch and Nick Montoya made sure the door was slammed shut — forcing turnovers, stopping drives, and sending the Steelers packing.

Final? Vikings roll strong — the ship sails smooth!

6TH GRADE – PACKERS VS. DOLPHINS

“Overtime? You betcha!”

The Pioneer Technical Packers and Steele’s/Valley Bank Dolphins went the distance — all the way to OT in a heavyweight slugfest!

Jett LeProwse with a clutch 9-yard snag — down to the 1! Then David D’Amico punches it in — touchdown! Caedan Lacey delivers the dime, Teason Vigil knocks through the extra — TIE BALLGAME!

The trenches were a warzone — Colin Kahtani, Azzy Staber, Kayson Aguilar, Noah Thennis, Kendrick Santos, Roper Henke, and Vigil holding strong like a green wall.

Knox Markovich, Kendyn Dobb, Jaxon Malone, James Lockyer, Brody Evenson, and Keith Skinner added key catches and tackles.

Heart. Hustle. Overtime. That’s Packers football, baby!

6TH GRADE – BILLS VS. RAIDERS

“And we wrap things up with a heavyweight brawl!”

The 5518 Designs Bills — still undefeated — and they looked the part.

Landon Cullen turning on the jets for a long TD run — whooop!

Tucker McIntyre doing it all — two passing TDs, two rushing TDs!

Luke Connors adding another score, Dalton Dawes and Reddic Hiatt toe-tappin’ in the end zone, and Cooper Coffing with a highlight-reel catch!

McCaul “Unc” Wiley racked up yards like it was a Black Friday sale.

That O-line — Cashton Schneider, Anthony Moreno, Jayce Nebel, Lucas Henderson, Ryken Kuchton, Mason Petroff, Luke Cooney — opened freeways.

Defensively, it was chaos for the Raiders — Carter Kelly with PBUs and a fumble recovery, Connor Schofield and Connors flying to the ball, and Henderson, Schneider, and Moreno anchoring the front.

But the Lisac’s Tire Raiders — they did not quit.

Pierce Collins goes deep — huge grab! Then Marcos Duran powers through at the goal line — touchdown Raiders!

Collins follows up with a pick on defense! And how about Avi “The Beast” Masters and Brantley “B-Man” LeCoure clogging the middle like twin wrecking balls?

Jay Hawk Perry holding down center, Lucas “The Hornet” Beddie buzzing around on defense, Blake Christiaens making clutch catches, and Mason “Ace” Ferko slingin’ late like Brett Favre in a backyard game.

Bills win it, but the Raiders — they’re building something special. Heart. Grit. Teamwork.

DA-DA-DA… DA-DA-DA!
