This week’s Butte Sports Athletes of the Week honors go to a dynamic duo who have become the heartbeat of the Bulldog offense — quarterback Raeder Grey and tight end Hudson Luedtke.
Even in a tough loss under the lights at Naranche Stadium, Grey and Luedtke delivered standout performances that showcased their chemistry, leadership, and relentless effort from start to finish.
Grey, a junior stepping confidently into his role as the Bulldogs’ field general, turned in a career night. He completed 21 of 29 passes for 324 yards and 3 touchdowns, leading the offense with composure and command. His reads were crisp, his throws were on point, and his decision-making reflected a young player growing into a veteran presence.
At the other end of those throws was senior standout Hudson Luedtke, who once again proved why he’s one of the most complete athletes in the state. Luedtke was unstoppable, hauling in 12 receptions for 180 yards and 2 touchdowns, finding open space and creating big plays throughout the night.
What makes Luedtke’s achievements even more impressive is his all-around athletic résumé. He’s not only one of the top football players in Montana — he also holds the title of Butte High’s all-time leading scorer in boys basketball, a record that speaks to his consistency, competitiveness, and elite talent across sports.
Together, Grey and Luedtke put on a show — a combination of precision, trust, and playmaking that kept the Bulldogs in the fight until the final whistle. While the scoreboard didn’t fall in Butte’s favor, the connection between these two was undeniable and continues to be one of the program’s biggest strengths moving forward.
Congratulations to Raeder Grey and Hudson Luedtke, this week’s Butte Sports Athletes of the Week.
