Soon we won’t have to hear there is nothing to do in Butte anymore and Uptown Hoops looks to continue making that a reality for their hometown.
For anyone that’s ever made the trip to Spokane Hoopfest you know that is truly an amazing experience, Uptown Hoops is bringing a slice of that back for their 2nd Annual Uptown Hoops 3 on 3 tournament in Historic Uptown Butte Montana.
After a successful first year tournament organizers are excited to run it back and make it even better, the dates are set for Father’s Day June 17th and 18th.
There will be brackets for both boys and girls ranging from 1st -8th grade, a high school bracket of A and B divisions and adult A and B divisions, joined by Coed and an adaptive category.
Games will be played in Historic Uptown Butte on Granite St. and early bird registration opened up on March 1st, teams can sign up for 99$ before the price increases next month. Teams can consist of a total of 4 players on each team and official rules and regulations will come at a later time.
Higher competition brackets will be rewarded with cash prizes of $500, new to the tournament this year is the Slam Dunk Contest both for adults and littles as well as a 3-point competition and the classic game of Lightening competition all offering cash prizes for the winners.
