The Butte Central Lady Maroons enter the 2025–26 basketball season with something almost no one else in Class A can claim — they didn’t graduate a single player. Instead, they return a full varsity group that made major strides last winter and add a wave of new talent to deepen a rotation that already proved it could compete with anyone down the stretch.
Head Coach Quinn Carter couldn’t be more excited about what this team has built.
“We have worked immensely hard this past year and throughout the offseason. We plan to use the momentum from our strong finish last season to continue building this year. We didn’t graduate anyone last season, and our incoming players bring valuable depth. Our goal is to improve every week and be playing our best basketball come tournament time.”
Consistency, maturity, and internal competition have been the hallmarks of the offseason. With older veterans stepping into expanded leadership and younger athletes pushing for time, the Lady Maroons finally have the blend of experience and depth that championship-caliber programs are built on.

Experienced guard play, improved frontcourt depth, and true internal competition give BC the blueprint to be peaking when it matters most — tournament time, just like Coach Carter emphasized.
The work has been done. The momentum is real. And this Lady Maroons group has every reason to believe the best is yet to come.
