Zuber shines at youth bowling tournament

The 10th Annual Butte USBC Youth City Championship was held at the Star Lanes on Feb. 14-15.

Tavis Zuber captured the scratch all events with a team event series of 683, a doubles event series of 631, and a singles event series of 607 totaling 1,921. Bridget Dodge had the high girl’s game of 245 and the high girl’s scratch series of 598.

Kevin Keller had the high game of the tournament with a 267, and Travis Zuber had the high boys scratch series of 683. This year’s tournament drew about 70 youth participants.

Tourney first place winners follow:

Division 1

Team Event: Butte Boys (Travis Zuber, Kevin Keller, Kyle Klapan, and Cameron Cupp) 2,660.

Doubles: Travis Zuber and Kyle Klapan 1,261.

Singles: Kasidy Wagner 718.

Handicapped All Events:    Girls – Kasidy Wagner 1,973;   Boys – Travis Zuber 2,065.

Scratch All Events:      Girls – Kasidy Wagner 1,601;      Boys – Travis Zuber 1,921.

Division 2

Team Event: Odd Bunch (Joey Sandoval, Aurora Kemper, Madison Gardipee, and Bailey Gardipee) 2,572.

Doubles: Joey Sandoval and Aurora Kemper 1,345.

Singles: Keanan Fitzpatrick 709.

Handicapped All Events:      Girls – Aurora Kemper 2,064;     Boys – Keanan Firzpatrick 1,912.

Scratch All Events:      Girls – Haylie Allen 1,362;      Boys – Cameron Cupp 1,242.

Division 3

Team Event: Bowling Busters (Dakota Willman, Brendan O’Boyle, Regan Gardipee, and Kayli Thomas) 1,674.

Doubles: Acen Martinich and Brooklinn Gelling 863.

Singles: Lucas Forthofer 471.

Handicapped All Events:      Girls – Cassie Fitzpatrick 1,287;      Boys – Rylie Kaldor 1,284.

Scratch All Events:      Girls – Reagan Gardipee 531;      Boys – Dakota Willman 660.
