Butte golfer Fred Zemljak fired a 3-under par 67 Monday to win the annual Labor Day Classic at the Butte Country Club.
Zemlac fired a 73 Saturday and a 70 Sunday for an even-par 210 in the 54-hole tournament.
Bennett Macintyre of Helena placed second at 211 after back-to-back 70s. Brian Beach of Missoula shot a 214, while Missoula’s Sean Hanser carded a 216.
Chuck Stratford, Jack Schwartzmiller, Mike McGurk, Craig Thomas, Kevin Zeeck, Mark Jensen, Dan Lean, Don Hawkinson and Mike Byrd won the team titles. In all, 198 players competed in the tournament.
