The game was the season opener for the Coyotes, who got 13 points from Ivory Miles-Williams, 11 from Johnny Radford and 10 from Connor Desaulniers.
College of Idaho outscored Tech 37-24 after trailing 46-42 at halftime.
Taylor England poured in 22 points to go along with 10 rebounds to lead the Orediggers (0-2). Sindou Diallo added 18 points and nine rebounds.
Derrius Collins came off the bench to score eight points for Tech, and Bridger Larson scored seven. Also for Tech, Camdyn Larance tossed in five points, Keeley Bake netted three points to go along with three assists, and Drew Huse tossed in two.
Next up for the Orediggers is a trip to Cheney, Washington on Monday for a game with Eastern Washington. Tech will open Frontier Conference play next Saturday and Sunday at home against Carroll College.
