GREGSON — Butte Central golfers Tyge Yelenich and Tricia Joyce placed second at the Butte Central Invitational tournament Friday at the Fairmont Hot Springs Golf Course.
Yelenich, a sophomore, shot a 7-over-par 79 at the one-day tournament. Max Toenjes of Hamilton took home medalist honors with a 78. Livingston’s Colton and Winston Oppelt followed at 80 and 83.
Hamilton won the boys’ team title with a 331. Butte Central and Livingston tied for second at 361.
Maroons Zach Luebeck and Bryan Arnold finished just out of the top 10 at 89 and 91. Also for the Maroons, Frank Dwyer hit 102 and Cameron Johnson shot 106.
Riley Richardson hit a 91 to lead the BC junior varsity team. Sam Joyce (101), Sam Sterns (106), Jake McPherson (106), Cade Wyatt (109), Patrick Dolan (119) and Vincente Gallardo (143) also played JV for the Maroons.
Kaden Hanni hit 87 and Marcus Lynch shot an 88 to pace Butte High’s JV team. Levi Logins shot 97. Riley Walsh (101) and Kellen Lean (106) also played JV for Butte High.
Sydni Rose of Hamilton won the girls’ individual title with a 96.
Joyce, a freshman, was next at 100. Hunter-Rose Goetz of Livingston and Dani Flynn of Frenchtown tied for third at 107.
Frenchtown won the team title at 439. Livingston and Hamilton tied for second at 472.
