Wyoming girls rebound, top Montana

BILLINGS — The Wyoming All-Stars bounced back Saturday night, beating Montana 65-49 in the annual two-game series.

Montana won 70-69 Friday night in Sheridan, Wyo. Saturday’s game was played at Rocky Mountain College.

Dani Williams, McCorra Ford and Elissia Johnson each scored 10 points to lead Wyoming to the win, which was Wyoming’s 11th in 34 games against the Treasure State. Wyoming took command by outscoring Montana 16-5 in the first quarter. Wyoming led 33-19 at halftime and 53-31 after three quarters.

Laurel star Jayde LeFever paced Montana with eight points.

Natalee Faupel, a former Butte High Bulldog and future MSU-Northern Skylight, scored three points for Montana. She sank a 3-pointer in the loss.
