Kalispell Glacier ran out to an 18-4 lead in the first quarter and fought off a Billings Senior challenge before posting a 52-33 win over the Broncs in a loser-out round game Friday at the Butte Civic Center during state Class AA high school girls’ basketball play.
Kali Gulick led the Wolfpack win with 14 points and Ellie Keller with 13. Keller’s six points in the first half helped ignite the early run Glacier enjoyed in building its lead. Raley Shirey grabbed seven rebounds. The now 15-9 Wolfpack will play a loser-out game at 9 a.m. on Saturday in the Civic Center versus the loser of Friday night Helena High-Helena Capital semifinal game.
Billings Senior went 7-16 on the season and was led in its finale by 6-foot freshman Brenna Linse with 12 rebounds and Elllie Ostermiller with eight points.
