VOSS, Norway — World Cup freestyle moguls skiing title contenders filled the podium on Thursday with the completion of the dual moguls competition at the World Championships meet.
Alex Bilodeau of Canada won the men’s event and Hannah Kearney of the United States paced the women. Bilodeau was joined on the podium by countryman and runner-up Mikael Kingsbury, and by third-place finisher Sho Endo of Japan.
Butte’s Brad Wilson placed 22nd in the Thursday races and his older brother, Bryon, finished in 31st place. Bryon Wilson,24, the 2010 Winter Olympics Bronze Medalist in men’s moguls, is a 2006 Butte High graduate. Brad Wilson, 20, is the reigning tour Rookie of the Year and Junior World Champion. He graduated from Butte Central in 2011.
Patrick Deneen, of Cle Elum, Wash., was Team USA’s highest-placing finisher at fifth place.
Chloe DuFour-LaPointe of Canada was the second-place finisher in the women’s race, and third place went to Arisa Murata of Japan. Bozeman’s Heather McPhie placed sixth.
