The Whittier Wildcats staked their claim as the champions of Butte grade school wrestling Wednesday night at Butte High School.
Led by city champions Keagan Gransberry, Connor Konda and Christian Vetter, Whitter won the 5th annual Mining City Grade School Wrestling Tournament.
West Elementary placed second, while Margaret Leary claimed third place.
Margaret Leary’s Ian Williams, Tre Whitlock and Jake Humphrey won city titles in their weight classes, as did Emerson’s Kyler Raiha, West’s Timmy Hollingsworth and Kennedy’s Dominic Scown.
