WHITEFISH – Brea Mitchell of Montana Western was named Frontier Conference volleyball player of the week.
Mitchell is a 5-foot-9 freshman middle blocker from Pocatello, Idaho. Western opened the season 2-2 at the La Sierra Tournament. The Bulldogs beat San Diego Christian 3-0 and Hope International 3-1. Montana Western lost to No. 23 Cal State San Marcos 0-3 and La Sierra 0-3
Mitchell averaged 3.08 kills with a .450 hitting percentage. She also averaged .31 solo blocks and .38 assisted blocks. Mitchell led Western in kills and blocks in each match.
