WHITEFISH — Drianna King of Montana Western was selected the Frontier Conference’s Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced today.
King, a 5-foot-5 senior guard from Spokane, Washington, led No. 9 Montana Western to a 2-0 record last week. The Bulldogs beat Montana Tech 76-45 in a Frontier Conference game before rolling to a 100-18 non-conference win over Salish-Kootenai College.
King averaged 23 points, 3.5 rebounds, four assists and three steals. She was 18 of 33 from the field (55 percent), 4 of 9, 3-point field goals and 6 of 6 from free throw line.
Mesa Williams of Montana Tech, Hannah Dean of Carroll College, Parker Esary of the University of Providence, Markela Francis of Rocky Mountain College and Peyton Kehr of MSU-Northern were also nominated.
