Western spikers ink Sentinel’s Flink

DILLON — University of Montana Western head coach Lisa Griffiths announced another recruit for the 2013 volleyball season today. Jami Flink of Missoula signed a Frontier Conference/NAIA Letter of Intent and will compete with the Bulldogs in the fall.

“Jami is a definitely a competitor and a great passer, and we are excited she will be joining us in the fall,” Griffiths said. “I know she will hit the ground running and I can’t wait for her to get to work with the rest of her teammates.”

The 5-foot-5 libero played four years of volleyball at Missoula Sentinel High School and was on varsity during her junior and senior seasons. As a senior, Flink earned MVP, second team all-conference and honorable mention all-state honors.

Flink is the daughter of Tom Flink and Bonnie Welch and plans to major in health and human performance at Montana Western.

“I enjoy the small town of Dillon as well as the smaller college idea,” Flink said. “I have also heard nothing but good things about the program. I am excited to play in the Frontier Conference”
