Western men land transfer from Nevada

DILLON — University of Montana Western head men’s basketball coach Mike Larsen announced today that Carlos “Los” Allen to a NAIA National Letter of Intent to play basketball for the Bulldogs.

Allen, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Atlanta, is a 2019 graduate of Clark High school in Nevada. He is transferring to Western after spending a season at College of the Sequoias.

As a Giant, Allen played in 29 games and started eight, shooting 41.7 percent from the floor and 38.1 percent from 3-point range. He averaged 5.8 points, 3.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 0.8 steals a game.

“We are extremely excited about Los,” Larsen said. “He will bring length and athleticism to our wing position. Los will be a major part of our program for the next three years.”

The 4.0 GPA student is the son of Cheri and Leonard Benjamin Allen. He plans to major in business at Montana Western.
