ANACONDA — Isaiah Weldon had the Tiger Woods look going for him Monday at the Old Works Championship.

Decked out in a red shirt, black pants and a black hat — much like Woods’ traditional Sunday look — Weldon captured the tour title in the South West Montana Junior Golf Tours Dustin Johnson Division for boys 16-17.

The wardrobe was not an accident for the soon-to-be Butte High senior.

“This is my last tournament,” Weldon said while playing his last career SWMJGT tournament. “This is my Sunday.”

The wardrobe and Weldon didn’t malfunction. Weldon matched par with a 72 on the course Jack Nicklaus designed to win the tournament and the season title. (Leaderboard, tour standings)

Weldon entered the day tied in the division standings with Butte High teammate Will Hoagland. Hoagland placed second Monday with an 80. Sean Ryan of Missoula took third at 82.

In all, Weldon was one of six Butte golfers who captured the tournament title, tour title or both Monday as the SWMJGT stopped for the ninth and final time of the season.

In the nine-hole Rickie Fowler division for boys 12-13, Butte’s Jack Prigge shot a 40 for a tournament victory. Butte’s Dylan Snyder and Hamilton’s Ryder Conner tied for second at 44. Conner won the season title.

In the Lydia Ko Division for girls’ 16-17, Butte’s Sadie Starcevich shot a 100 for the tournament title. Helena’s Kielar Jones, who won the previous eight tournaments, placed second at 104. Jones’ eight titles was easily enough for her to take home the season championship.

Butte’s Ella Prigge placed second Monday with a 109.

In the nine-hole Stacy Lewis Division for girls 12-13, Butte’s Kodie Hoagland shot a 56 to win the tournament and finish off her tour title. Kennedy Lean of Butte and Dakota Trinity Wilson of Townsend tied for second at 58.
