Following is a rundown of local sports action on the docket for Wednesday, Sept. 19.
College Volleyball
Montana Tech at Carroll College, 7 p.m.
The Orediggers head north trying to join the upper echelon of the Frontier Conference when they take on the Saints.
Tech is 1-2 in conference play and 11-4 overall, while No. 25 Carroll is 2-1 and 12-5. An Oredigger victory at the P.E. Center Wednesday could certainly shakeup the conference standings.
The Orediggers are coming off two losses, the latest a four-game defeat at home to Westminster College. Shersteen Cline and Katie Tabaracci reached double figures in kills in that Saturday loss. Freshman Kimmy Kavran set the school digs record — again — with 43.
