Wednesday’s Hot Ticket

Following is a rundown of Butte sports action for Wednesday, Nov. 28.

Men’s College Basketball
Whitworth University (Wash.) at Montana Tech, 7 p.m.

The Orediggers (5-2) look to build on a big weekend that saw them go 2-0 at the Westminster Holiday Classic in Salt Lake City. Sophomore Adam Greger scored a total of 71 points and 22 rebounds in the wins over Chadron State and Cal State San Marcos. The reigning Frontier Conference Player of the Week averages a team-leading 18.7 points and 6.7 rebounds per game. Junior guard Bryan Bock averages a team-best 4.0 assists per game.
Whitworth (1-1) could be out for revenge after the Orediggers stopped their 41-game home winning streak last year in Spokane. Junior guard Dustin McConnell leads the Pirates, averaging 14 points per game. He’s coming off an 18-point performance in Whitworth’s win over Mary Hardin-Baylor over the weekend.
