Warriors turn back Oredigger women

Tanis Fuller and Caelyn Orlandi combined to score 37 points Saturday as Lewis-Clark State College’w women’s basketball team won its 20th game of the season, beating Montana Tech 85-69 at the HPER Complex. Box Score

Fuller scored 19 points, while Orlandi tossed in 18. Shelby Barnes scored 11 points and Loree Hill added 10 as the Warriors improved to 20-1 overall and 7-0 in Frontier Conference play.

Kabri Emerson and Bryn Hasquet each scored 16 points to lead the Orediggers, who played their first game since coach DeAnn Craft resigned.

Mandy Machinal scored nine points, while Kelsey DeeWit added eight points.

The Orediggers fell to 6-7 overall and 2-5 in conference. Tech is off until next Saturday’s game at Dickinson State.

Montana Tech wouldn’t let fill-in coach Lindsie Wilson or the players talk to the media after the game. Craft resigned earlier Saturday in protest of Tech’s decision to fire athletic director Charles Bradley.
