Warriors top Tech women

LEWISTON, Idaho — Five Lewis-Clark State College players scored in double figures Saturday night, and the Warriors knocked off Montana Tech 87-71 in a Frontier Conference women’s basketball game. (Stats)

The win gave the Orediggers the three-game regular-season sweep of the Orediggers.

Delaney Henery scored 16 points to lead the Warriors (7-9, 16-11). Brittany Tackett added 14 points, while Hailey Turner, Abbie Johnson and Lauren Johnson each scored 12.

Kourtney Coverdell continued her recent hot streak by scoring 20 points to lead the Orediggers (4-12, 14-14). Monica Landdeck scored 19.

The Orediggers also got eight apiece from Kaylynn Coverdell and Kaylee Zard, seven from Hannah Sparks, five from Sammy McGree and four from Mesa Williams.

The Orediggers close out the regular season next Friday and Saturday against the University of Providence and MSU-Northern.
