Warriors top Diggers in four

LEWISTON, Idaho — Unranked Lewis-Clark State handed No. 16 Montana Tech a four-set Frontier Conference volleyball loss Saturday.

The Warriors beat Tech 25-19, 12-25, 25-22, 26-24. (Stats)

Brooke Kaawa pounded 17 kills, and Tori Edwards added 13 as the Warriors improved to 13-7 overall and 4-2 in the Frontier.

Maureen Jessop’s 13 kills led the Orediggers. Sydney Parks and Gena McMillan killed seven. McKenna Kaelber registered 31 assists, while Sabrina Hopcroft (18) and Karina Mickelson (14) reached double figures in digs.

The Orediggers (16-4, 4-2) will take a 13-day break from Frontier play. The team will play matches in Bellevue, Nebraska, Grand View, Iowa, and Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as part of the Grand View Tournament next weekend.
