Warriors roll past Tech men

LEWISTON, Idaho — Six different Lewis-Clark State players scored in double figures Saturday as the Warriors routed Montana Tech 105-60 in a Frontier Conference men’s basketball game. Stats

Robert Ellis scored 21 points to lead the way as L-C improved to 2-0 in league play. The game was the Frontier opener for the Orediggers.

E.J. Farris scored 18 points in the win. Brady Bagby added 15, while Trey Sobotta and Jamaal Thomas each scored 11. Joseph Moquino netted 10.

The Warriors hit on 63 percent of their shots from the field, including 60 percent from 3-point land. Tech shot 34 percent. The Orediggers made just three of 17 attempts from behind the arc.

Bryan Bock scored 14 points led the Orediggers, who saw 12 players score. Travis Peevey tossed in 10 points, while Adam Greger followed with nine and Marcus Payne scored eight.

“I did not do a got job at preparing my team to play this game,” Tech coach Patrick O’Herron said. “We were dominated in every facet of the game. We will watch film tomorrow and learn and get better for our next home game on Saturday.”

The Orediggers will not play another Frontier game until next month. Tech plays at home against the Northwest Indian College next Saturday.
