Warriors get revenge on Tech women

LEWISTON, Idaho — The second time around was a different story when the Lewis-Clark State and Montana Tech women’s basketball teams met on the hardwood.

L-C State got a little revenge Saturday as the Warriors knocked off Montana Tech 70-57 in a Frontier Conference game. The win avenged an 83-57 Dec. 5 loss to the Orediggers in Butte. Stats

Brittany Tackett scored 14 points to lead five Warriors in double figures in the bounce-back win. Brooke Latalien and Natahnee Spencer each scored 11 points, while Caelyn Orlandi and Hailey Turner each scored 10 points as the Warriors improved to 14-3 overall and 2-1 in conference.

Callee Remsen tossed in 15 points to lead the Orediggers, who fell to 5-9 overall and 1-2 in conference. Kourtney Coverdell scored 13 points, while Hattie Thatcher scored 11 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists in her first game after missing more than a month with an ankle injury.

Rachel Farris added eight points and 10 rebounds for the Orediggers, who are back in action Thursday when they play host to Montana Western.
