SALT LAKE CITY — Lewis-Clark State men’s and women’s golf teams wrapped up first place in the Frontier Conference standings today at a tournament hosted by Westminster College.
Westminster claimed the men’s title, while Lewis-Clark took home the women’s crown. Lewis-Clark’s finish on both sides, though, secured the regular season crown ahead of next month’s Frontier tournament in Missoula.
The Westminster men won the 54-hole event with an 8-under-par 856 teams score. Lewis-Clark placed second at 867, while Carroll College took home third at 880.
Westminster’s Dane Jensen won medalist honors with a 5-under 211. He shot 71, 68 and 72 to top Lewis-Clark’s Jason Molner by one shot. Connor Hausauer of Carroll took third at minus 3.
Montana Tech didn’t have a full team in the tournament. Oredigger Zach Maassen tied for 21st at plus 16.
