The University of Providence and Lewis-Clark State College advanced to the championship game of the Frontier Conference women’s basketball tournament.
Both teams did it on the road, too.
Providence went to Helena to knock off Carroll College 73-66 in one semifinal game Saturday night. Lewis-Clark went to Dillon and beat defending NAIA national champion Montana Western 75-58.
The Argos will head to Lewiston, Idaho for Tuesday’s championship game.

Jamie Nielson led the way with 16 points, while Jansen Edmiston netted 14. Columbia Falls native Kiara Burlage added 13 points and 12 rebounds, and Abbie Johnson scored 11 in the win that saw the Warriors outscore Western 43-24 in the middle two quarters.
Savanna Bignell’s 13 points paced the Bulldogs. Gracey Meyer and Jenni Weber each scored 12.
Also for Western, Mesa King tallied nine points, and Paige Holmes scored seven.

HELENA — The Argos picked up their second road win of the playoffs by outscoring Carroll 22-9 in the fourth quarter. (Stats)
That came after the Saints built a 45-30 halftime lead with a 29-13 second quarter.
Parker Esary scored 27 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Argos in the win. Emilee Maldonado added 16 points, while Bailey Cartwright contributed with 15 points and nine boards.
Christine Denny netted 21 points to lead three Carroll players in double figures. Kamden Hilborn scored 15, and Emerald Toth scored 10.
