Butte High seniors Gavin Vetter and Kodie Hoagland were the big winners at the Butte Athletic Council’s All-Sports Banquet Wednesday night at the Butte Civic Center.
Vetter took home the Swede Dahlberg Outstanding Male Athlete Award, while Hoagland received the Outstanding Female Athlete Award.
The honors close the book on two outstanding Butte High careers. Both earned 11 varsity letters in their days as Bulldogs.
Vetter lettered four times in track, four times in wrestling and three times in football. The future Montana Western football player placed second in the pole vault Friday at the Class AA State track meet in Butte.
Hoagland lettered four times in golf, four times in softball and three times in basketball. She also took home Outstanding Awards for each of those sports. Hoagland, who helped lead her basketball and softball teams to State, will play golf at Montana Tech.
Butte High recognized all of its letterwinners during the 2021-22 school year. The school handed out 11 Block B Awards. Those honors go to athletes who earned seven or more letters in their career.
Joining Vetter and Hoagland as Block B winners were Casey Kautzman, Connor Konda, Kenley Leary, Cole Worley, Trey Whitlock, Morgan McClernan, Mollee Conlan, Brooke McGrath and Ashley Olson.
