The inaugural Uptown Hoops 3-on-3 basketball tournament will be played June 18-19 on Granite Street in Uptown Butte.

The goal of the tournament is to bring 640 teams and 2,500 spectators to town to play on 10 courts. Registration for the tournament is currently open and filling up fast.

Sports remain for teams in all categories, including the adaptive co-ed divisions, which are free. Cash prizes will be given out in the adult leagues.

Leagues also include 4^th-5^th grade boys and girls, 6^th-8^th grade boys and girls and high school boys and girls. Teams registering today (Thursday, April 14) will receive a substantial discount by using the promotional code “buttesports” when registering.

A dunk and 3-point contest will be held on Saturday night of the event. Those competitions will be open to anyone, even if the competitors are not playing in the tournament.

The tournament needs volunteers, and it provides sponsorship and food vendor opportunities.
