Two UM basketball players arrested in Missoula

MISSOULA (AP) — Two University of Montana basketball players have been arrested following an altercation in downtown Missoula.

The Missoulian reports that 22-year-old Will Cherry and 20-year-old Keron DeShields were taken into custody Saturday morning. An address on the police report is that of the Stockman’s Bar.

Cherry, a senior, faces misdemeanor charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. DeShields, a sophomore, faces a disorderly conduct charge.

Police also arrested a third man. Thirty-four-year-old Jason Shawn Snyder faces charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and disorderly conduct.

Sgt. Rick Stevenson says police responded to a report of a fight and separated the men.

Montana Coach Wayne Tinkle says he wants to get all the facts before any decisions are made.
