Stevensville at Butte Central, 5 p.m.
The Maroons are back in action after a tough weekend at the Frenchtown Invitational. BC dropped three nonconference games to fall to 4-7 on the season. BC, though, is 3-2 in conference play as the Yellowjackets come to town for the Southwestern A tilt on Stodden Park Field No. 2. The Maroons beat Stevi 5-2 April 7 in Stevensville.
Butte High at Bozeman (DH), 3 p.m.
The Bulldogs hit the road to play the Hawks for the second Tuesday in a row. The first game counts in Eastern AA standings. The second is nonconference. Butte High is 5-2 in the Eastern AA and 7-8 overall after splitting with Billings Senior Friday in Billings. Butte High won the only conference game of that twin bill. Bozeman is 0-9 in conference. The Bulldogs beat the Hawks 7-2 last Tuesday in Butte.
Butte Central at Dillon Invite, 1 p.m.
The Maroons will compete in Dillon just a three days after a strong effort at the John Tomich Invitational in Butte. Marcus Ferriter won the shot put and discus to lead the BC boys to a fourth-place showing. Whitney McGree paced BC’s girls with three top-four performances.
Ennis, Drummond, Deer Lodge at Butte High, 3:15 p.m.
Butte High will be at home for a meet that was a late edition to the schedule. Dalton Daum and Clay Dean are expected back in action for the Bulldog boys after sitting out Saturday’s Tomich Invite. Abby Dodge, who won the high jump again Saturday, leads the Butte High girls into action.
Butte Central at Bozeman JV, 3 p.m.
The Maroons hit the road to take on the subvarsity team of a tough Class AA program Tuesday. Butte Central is coming off Saturday’s Bitterroot Invitational, which saw Sam Sterns finish fourth in the boys’ singles division. Sam Joyce and Frank Hendrickson had a strong showing in the doubles, as did the girls doubles team of Ali Guldseth and Kellsie Quinn.
