Tuesday’s Hot Ticket: Diggers, Bulldogs, Maroons

Women’s college basketball
Salish Kootenai College at Montana Tech, 11 a.m.

The 9-3 Orediggers open a busy day by taking on the Bison in a non-conference tilt at the HPER Complex.

Tech beat Salish Kootenai College 81-38 Nov. 20 in Pablo. Mollie Peoples scored 17 points to lead the Orediggers in that victory. Mesa Williams tossed in 15.

Men’s college basketball
Salish Kootenai College at Montana Tech, 2 p.m.

Montana Tech (10-3) looks to complete the season sweep of the Bison in the non-conference battle.

The Orediggers beat the Bison 121-67 Nov. 10 in Pablo. Blake Dittman scored 25 points to lead the Orediggers that night. Dylan Pannabecker added 19, while Christian Jones and Taylor England each scored 17.

Boys’ prep basketball
Helena Capital at Butte High, 7 p.m.

Butte High looks to move to 2-1 when the Bruins come to town for the non-conference game at the Butte Civic Center.

Butte High is coming off last Tuesday’s 62-52 home win over Missoula Big Sky. Danny McCloskey’s 15 points paced the Bulldogs in the victory. Kash Kelly scored 12 points.

The Bruins are coming off Saturday’s 61-53 overtime loss to Billings Skyview Saturday in Helena.

Belgrade at Butte Central, 7:30 p.m.
The Maroons (4-0) look to stay undefeated when they welcome to the Panthers to the Maroon Activities Center.

BC went on the road for wins over Frenchtown and Stevensville Friday and Saturday. Cade Holter scored a total of 27 points as BC beat Frenchtown 55-45 and Stevi 80-47. Braden Harrington totaled 19 points in the two wins.

The Panthers (1-4) are looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 67-55 home loss to Havre. Easton Page scored 25 points to lead Belgrade in the loss.

Girls’ prep basketball
Butte High at Helena Capital, 7:30 p.m.

The Bulldogs look to make it two in a row when they head to the Capital City for the non-conference game.

Butte High rolled to a 68-35 win at Missoula Big Sky last Tuesday. Aspen Lovshin scored 17 points to lead four Bulldogs in double figures in the win. Ally Cleverly scored 16 points, while Haley Herron tossed in 13, and Brittney Tierney scored 11.

Capital is coming off Saturday’s 68-27 win at Billings Skyview.

Belgrade at Butte Central, 6 p.m.
The Maroons (1-3) open the doubleheader with the Panthers (2-3) looking for a winning streak.

Tricia Joyce hit five 3-pointers and scored 21 points to lead BC to its first win of the Season Saturday, a 40-30 beating of Stevensville. Emma Keeley added 12 points in the victory.

The Panthers are coming off Saturday’s 63-48 home loss to defending Class A state champion Havre. Gabby Webber scored 24 points in the losing effort.
