Tuesday’s Hot Ticket: Bulldogs softball, BC tennis

Missoula Sentinel at Butte High, 4:45 p.m.

Stodden Park will set the scene as the Bulldogs look for their fourth straight win.

Missoula Sentinel rolls into town for the Western AA game at 4-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play. Butte High is 3-5 and 3-1 after wins over Helena High, Missoula Big Sky and Missoula Hellgate.

Senior infielder Amy Taylor is batting .609 to lead the Spartan offense into town. Junior pitcher Jayden Gagner carries a 3.40 ERA.0

Senior shortstop Kodie Hoagland is hitting .607 from the leadoff spot to lead the Bulldogs. Freshman Ashlinn Mullaney is coming off a huge performance on Saturday. She drove in seven runs with two home runs. She also fanned 10 batters in four innings of no-hit pitching. Senior catcher Jordyn Bolton has two home runs on the season.

Prep tennis
Butte Central at Stevensville, 2 p.m.

The Maroons will get in their first action since they opened the season April 7 in Livingston.

Central will play at home for the first time Saturday when Corvallis and Hamilton come to town for Southwestern A matches.
