Tuesday’s Hot Ticket: Bulldogs, Maroons

Butte Central at Dillon, 3 p.m.

The Maroons (2-1, 1-1) hit the road to take on the Beavers in a Southwestern A game.

BC is coming off a 1-1 showing Saturday in the Bitterroot Valley. The Maroons won 3-1 at Hamilton before falling 18-16 at Corvallis.

The game was originally scheduled for Butte but was moved because BC’s field at Stodden Park is not ready for play. Dillon will come to town later in the season.

Prep track
Butte High vs. Hellgate and Sentinel in Missoula, 2 p.m.

The Bulldogs head back to Missoula County Stadium for the triangular with the Knights and Spartans.

Butte High is coming off a strong performance on the same track last Thursday. The meet is the first of two this week for the Bulldogs, who head to Great Falls for a triangular with CMR and Helena High on Saturday.

Butte Central at Florence/Darby meet in Corvallis, 9:30 a.m.
The Maroons will compete in their third meet in six days when they head to the Bitterroot Valley.

Led by sisters Lindsay and Rileigh McGree, Butte Central’s girls placed second at Saturday’s Three Forks/Manhattan Christian Invitational. Cutter Thatcher won a pair of events for the second straight meet to lead the BC boys to third place.

Butte Central at Bozeman JV, 3 p.m.

The Maroons look to build on Saturday’s strong start to the season when they hit the road to take on the Hawks junior varsity team.

The BC boys’ and girls’ teams beat Livingston and Anaconda Saturday in Livingston.
