Helena Capital at Butte High, 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs will welcome the undefeated Bruins to the Butte Civic Center for the Western AA game.
Capital is 8-0 overall and 4-0 in conference after Friday’s 60-31 win over Helena High. Brayden Koch, a 6-3 senior, averages 24.4 points per game to lead the Bruins. Hayden Opitz, a 6-4 junior, adds 11.4 points and 7.4 rebounds, and 6-0 senior Jacob Curry scores 10.9 points per game.
The Bulldogs (2-7, 2-3) are coming off Friday’s 73-63 win at Missoula Sentinel. Senior Kenley Leary scored 19 points, while junior Jace Stenson poured in 18 in that win. Senior Kooper Klobucar scored 14 points.
Livingston at Butte Central, 7:15 p.m.
The Rangers come to town at 5-5 in the game that was a make up of a game called off by bad weather.
Payton Kokot averages 20.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game for the Rangers, who won 72-67 Saturday at Laurel. Kaden McMinn adds 8.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game to the lineup.
The 9-1 Maroons rolled past Hamilton 46-28 to bounce back from their first loss of the season Saturday. Junior Dougie Peoples pours in 20.3 points per game to lead the Maroons. Kyle Holter adds 9.8 points, fellow junior Eric Loos contributes with 9.7 points and 7.7 rebounds.
Prep girls’ basketball
Butte High at Helena Capital, 7 p.m.
The Bulldogs (5-4, 2-3) hit the road looking to bounce back from Friday’s 44-37 home loss to Missoula Sentinel.
Senior Ashley Olson scored seven points to lead the Bulldogs in that game. Classmates Tylar Clary and Brooke McGrath each scored six.
Jada Clarkson, a 5-7 junior, averages 14.4 points to lead the Bruins (4-4, 1-3), who are coming off Thursday’s 48-39 loss to Helena High. Megan Swanson, a 5-10 junior, scores 9.7 points per game.
Butte Central at Livingston, 6 p.m.
Central hits the road for a make up of a game postponed earlier this month for COVID reasons.
Central is 5-5 after Saturday’s 58-54 home loss to Hamilton. Junior Brooke Badovinac scored 23 points to lead the BC effort in that game. Senior Sofee Thatcher scored 11 points to go along with 10 rebounds and seven assists. Sophomore Ella Moodry scored eight points.
The Rangers (1-10) enter the game looking to stop a 10-game losing streak. Taylor Youn’s 11.4 points and 8.0 rebounds per game leads the team.
Sentinel at Butte High, 6 p.m.
The Bulldogs will celebrate Senior Night as they welcome the Spartans to the old gym.
Butte High is coming off a fourth-place finish at Saturday’s Montana AA Duals in Great Falls. The Bulldogs are 23-5 in duals this season.
