The Bulldogs (14-7) and Falcons (4-12) put their seasons on the line during the best-of-three Eastern AA playoff series on Stodden Park Field No. 1. Game 2 is slated for 2 p.m., and the third game, if necessary, will begin at 4.

The winner of the series advances to next week’s Class AA State tournament in Helena. The loser goes home.

The games will be carried live on KBOW (550 AM, 101.5 FM or online).

Butte High swept the Falcons, winning 5-1 and 10-3, in a conference doubleheader April 28 at Stodden. Brittney Tierney had a four-hit afternoon, and Taylor Huff blasted a home run and a double in the sweep. Kennedi Ferriter hit a pair of doubles, while Kaidy McClafferty (13-4) picked up the victory in both games.

The Bulldogs completed the regular season at 8-4 in league play, claiming the No. 3 seed entering the playoffs behind Billings Senior (9-3) and Great Falls High (12-0). The Bison earned the Eastern AA’s automatic berth into the state tournament.

The Maroons close out the regular season with the Senior Day tilt with the Rangers on Stodden Park Field No. 2.

The Maroons, who won’t know if they made the Class A state tournament until later in the week, enter the game at 9-10 overall after going 1-3 at the LaVerne Combo Invitational tournament over the weekend.

BC will honor seniors Kassidy Criscuolo and Kloie Thatcher and their parents.
