Dillon at Butte High, 7:30 p.m.
Butte High looks to break out of a slump as it takes on defending Class A State champion Dillon at the Butte Civic Center. Butte High is 2-12 overall after Saturday’s 68-60 loss at Billings Senior. Dallas Cook scored 19 to pace the Bulldogs in that game. Peter Granger scored 15. Dillon is 10-3 after Thursday’s home win over Butte Central. Senior Ben Folsom scored 22 points in that win.
Butte Central at Belgrade, 5:30 p.m.
The Maroons aim for the season sweep of the Panthers when they open a doubleheader at the Special Events Center. The Maroons beat Belgrade 51-41 Dec. 20 in Butte. The Maroons are 10-5 overall after Saturday’s Senior Day win over Livingston. Brady Tippett scored 22 points in that win. Nate Bolstad poured in 16. Belgrade, which sits in first place in the Central A, is 8-6 overall. Trevor Mahn averages just under 12 points per game for the Panthers.
Prep Girls’ Basketball
Dillon at Butte High, 6 p.m.
The girls’ game opens the doubleheader at the Civic Center. The Bulldogs (12-2) are looking for their ninth straight win. Butte High’s latest victory was Saturday’s 48-43 win over Billings Senior. Natalee Faupel scored 20 points in that win. Sammy McGree scored 10. Dillon is 8-5 overall. Courtney Linder averages 8.1 points per game to lead the Beavers, who recently saw the return of freshman standout Alex Rouse.
Butte Central at Belgrade, 7 p.m.
The Maroons will be looking for revenge in the nightcap at the Special Events Center. The Panthers handed the Maroons (11-4) their first loss of the season Dec. 20 in Butte. Dylan Folwer scored 12 points to lead Belgrade (7-7) in that 46-42 win. The Maroons, who have been without injured leading scorer Danee Leary, beat Dillon and Livingston last weekend. Mariah Cooney and Danika Neumann both average 8.3 points per game for the Maroons.
