Three nights after placing fourth at the Tom LeProwse Invitational, the No. 3 Bulldogs head back to Bozeman for a dual with the No. 1 Hawks.

Keagan Gransbery lead the Bulldogs over the weekend, winning the 103-pound title and running his season record to 21-0. Wil Queer, at 113 pounds, and Kameron Moreno, at 205, placed second at the prestigious meet.

The Bulldogs head to Missoula Friday for the Jug Beck Rocky Mountain Classic.

Boys’ prep basketball
Anaconda at Butte Central, 6 p.m.

The Maroons look to roll their record to 9-0 as the boys’ open the doubleheader against the Class B Copperheads at the Maroon Activities Center.

Central is coming off Saturday’s 57-56 win at Livingston. Junior Braden Harrington is BC’s top scorer through eight games. He averages 15.4 points per game. Senior Cade Holter averages 11.9 points and 3.6 assists per gam, while classmate Dylan Sestrich is scoring 8.8. Junior Luke Heaphy is dishing out 3.4 assists per game for the Maroons.

The Copperheads (1-7) are coming off Saturday’s 65-51 win at Florence.

Boys’ prep basketball
Anaconda at Butte Central, 7:30 p.m.

The Maroons (3-5) seek their third straight win as they take on the Copperheads (2-6) in the nightcap at the MAC.

BC is coming off wins over Dillon and Livingston over the weekend. Senior guard Tricia Joyce averages 10.4 points and 2.6 assists per game. Junior Emma Keeley adds 9.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists to the BC lineup. Freshman Sofee Thatcher contributes with 6.1 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.

Anaconda is coming off Saturday’s 57-43 home loss to Florence. Isabel Saltenberger scored 10 points to lead the Copperheads in that game. Arieona Mattson scored 11.
