A blood drive in honor of Troy Ross has been set for 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, June 24 at the Maroon Activities Center.

Residence of Butte and Southwest Montana are asked to donate in honor of Troy, a boy who was diagnosed with pulmonary capillaritis at the age of 3. Pulmonary capillaritis is a rare condition that causes one’s immune system to attack their longs.

Troy has received countless treatments that required thousands of donors who gave numerous units of blood to help him survive.

Now 7, Troy is happy and active with the disease in remission. His family knows that the generosity has helped keep Troy with them, and they are hosting the blood drive in his honor.

Make your appointment by using the Red Cross Blood Donor App, by visiting redcrossblood.org or by calling 1-800-RED CROSS. The sponsor code is TROY.
