The Mining City Tommyknockers added a piece to their bullpen Monday.
Jason Kramlich, a closer for Northeastern Junior College, signed to pitch for the Butte team, Tommyknockers general manager Dane Wagner announced.
The 6-foot, 175-pound Kramlich, a Littleton, Colorado native, posted a zero ERA in five appearances at closer for Northeastern last season.
He attended Colorado Academy in Denver and graduated in 2019.
“First and for most, I would like to give a huge thank you to (manager) Tom Carty for giving me this opportunity,” Kramlich said in a statement. “I am beyond excited to play in Butte this summer. I can’t wait to give the fans entertainment all summer long and bring a championship to Butte.”
Carty praised his newest right-handed pitcher.
“Jason is an experienced bullpen pitcher with a low arm slot and should produce a ton of groundballs,” the manager said, “He will be a key piece of the versatile bullpen we will use every night this summer.”
