Title game on TV Friday

Butte High’s 38-36 win over Bozeman in the Class AA State championship football game will be broadcast Friday at 7 p.m. on cable channel 6.

Optimum Cable has been showing Butte High and Butte Central football games all season on cable channel 6. The games are normally shown on Wednesday and Thursday. However, Butte High has a formal dance on Wednesday and Thanksgiving is Thursday, so the game will be moved.

Butte High’s Jake Dennehy booted a 46-yard field goal as time expired to give Butte High the improbable win in front of a crowd of about 8,000 that packed Naranche Stadium. The title was Butte High’s first since 1991.

The television game was produced by John Murphy of Mountain Star Video. Audio is provided by KBOW Radio with Paul Panisko on play by play, Kelly Sullivan on color and Bill Foley on the sidelines.

Apparently there will be DVD sales. They must be set by the MHSA and the Butte Athletic Council, though. We will post information on those sales as soon as it becomes available. I’m sure that won’t be until after Friday’s broadcast, though.
