BOZEMAN — Football season arrived in Bozeman all at once Monday, as Bobcat Athletics announced a season-ticket sales record while allocating all 4,100 student tickets for Thursday’s Gold Rush season opener in less than two hours.
Just over 9,000 season tickets sold for Montana State University’s 2015 football campaign, the most in school history. That figure includes only tickets sold, and could change as season tickets remain on sale through Thursday’s season opener against Fort Lewis. Less than 600 single-game seats remain, all sideline seats, for the Gold Rush Game.
While the 2015 season could bring more fans than ever into Bobcat Stadium, once inside they will find an improved experience. Bobcat Concessions will offer enhanced fare, featuring Korean Tacos and other fresh-cooked food from the Fork in the Road Food Truck outside Gate 3. Merchandise sales have also been expanded at the east grandstand.
The Bobcats return eight offensive starters from last season’s FCS Playoff team that set school records for points and total yards, while the revamped defense of co-coordinator Kane Ioane also looks for a fast start. Kickoff is at 7:05 pm, and the game is televised statewide on Cowles Media of Montana Stations, and outside Montana on Altitude Sports and Entertainment.
