Butte High at Southern AA Divisional tournament
Helena will be the site as the Bulldogs eye berths in next week’s Class AA State tournament in Great Falls. The two-day tournament will consist of Butte High, Bozeman, Helena High and Helena Capital. The top four individuals and top four doubles teams will advance to state. Action begins both days at 9 a.m.
Dillon at Butte Central, 2 p.m.
Father Sheehan Park will set the scene as the Maroons try again this week to get in a dual. BC’s matches at Livingston were rained out on Tuesday. The Maroons will compete in the Fergus Invite Saturday in Lewistown.
Butte High at Great Falls Russell (DH), 3 p.m.
A home playoff series is on the line as the Bulldogs hit the road to take on the first-place Rustlers in the Eastern AA twin bill. Butte High (7-12, 5-5) must win at least one game to host in the playoffs next week. Butte High is coming off Tuesday’s losses against defending Class AA State champion Kalispell Glacier. The Bulldogs came within one out of a split in that doubleheader.
Butte Central at Dillon, 4 p.m.
With the Southwestern A title wrapped up, the Maroons (10-2, 6-0) look to stay perfect in league play when they head to Dillon. The game is a makeup of Tuesday’s rain out. BC beat Dillon 20-0 in three innings April 21 in Butte. The junior varsity game has been canceled because Dillon won’t have enough players to field a team.
Prep track — Butte High at Bozeman (dual), 3:15 p.m.
The Bulldogs will get in their final tune up before divisionals when they take on the Hawks at Van Winkle Stadium. The Western AA Divisional is May 20-21 in Billings.
