Thursday’s Hot Ticket: Diggers, Dawgs, Maroons

College volleyball
Montana Western at Montana Tech, 7 p.m.

The Orediggers look to go 3-0 in Frontier Conference play when they take on the Bulldogs at the HPER Complex.

Tech opened league play with a five-set win at Carroll College and a home sweep of Lewis-Clark State last week. Libero Sabrina Hopcroft and attacker Masha Korol are the reigning Frontier Conference Players of the Week after leading the Orediggers to those wins.

Western comes to town with a 1-1 Frontier record after beating Providence 3-2 in Dillon and falling 3-2 at MSU-Northern last week. The Bulldogs are 9-6 overall. Tech is 9-5.

Prep volleyball
Butte Central at Corvallis, 7 p.m.

The Maroons (0-4 overall, 0-2 conference) hit the road to take on the Blue Devils for a touch Southwestern A test.

BC, which has been plagued by inconsistency in the early part of the season, is coming off Saturday’s three-set home loss to Hamilton. The match is the first of two this week for the Maroons. Central will head back to the Bitterroot Valley to take on Stevensville on Saturday.
