Helena Capital at Butte High, 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs (1-6) will quite literally face a tall task Thursday at the Richardson Gym when the defending champion Bruins (5-1) come to town.

Capital has won 27 of its last 29 games. That includes a 71-37 win over the Bulldogs Jan. 7 in Helena. Paige Bartsch, a 6-foot-4 junior, scored 19 points to lead Capital in that win. Dani Bartsch, a 6-2 senior, scored 18.

Senior MacKenzie Tutty scored 21 for the Bulldogs in that game. Junior Ashley Olson scored 13.

Anaconda at Butte Central, 7:15 p.m.
The 7-1 Maroons look to stay hot when they welcome rival Anaconda (5-2) to town for the non-conference game at the Maroon Activities Center.

The Copperheads are looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 68-52 loss to Thompson Falls. Mia Sullivan-Sanders scored 12 points to lead Anaconda in the loss. Megan Reich and Kora Kelly each tossed in 11.

Central has a four-game winning streak after Tuesday’s 43-22 win at Dillon. Amira Bolton and Brooke Badovinac each scored 10 points to lead BC in that win. Avery Kelly scored nine.
