Following is a rundown of the Butte sports action for Thursday, Dec. 6.

Prep Wrestling
Butte Central Mixer, 5 p.m.
The Maroons will get the chance to compete on their home mats Thursday when they welcome Anaconda, Corvallis, Hamilton, Havre and Livingston at the Maroon Activities Center. Sophomore 98-pounder Clay Stillwagon is coming off a title performance at the Havre Invitational. Zach Hart placed fourth at 135 pounds in that tournament, while Bryce Noctor (1-5) and Ben Holt (189) placed sixth.

Prep Boys’ Basketball
Butte High at Helena High, 7:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs look to go 2-0 under new head coach Terry Hauser when they hit the road to take on the Bengals in a non-conference game. Butte High is coming off Tuesday’s win over Belgrade. Peter Granger scored 21 points in that win. Dallas Cook netted 20.

Prep Girls’ Basketball
Helena High at Butte High 7:30 p.m.

Butte High’s girls are back in home away from home Thursday. The Bulldogs will play the Bengals in a non-conference game at the Butte Civic Center while the Richardson Gym is readied for the Mining City Duals. Sammy McGree’s 17 points led the way as Butte High turned it on in the second half to beat Belgrade Tuesday. Hailey Hoagland added 13 points.
