Following is a rundown of local sports action on the docket for Thursday, Oct. 4.

Prep Volleyball
Butte High at Great Falls High, 7 p.m.

The Bulldogs jump back into action looking to bounce back from last week’s 3-0 loss at Bozeman when they take on the Bison. Butte High will also be trying to avenge an earlier loss to Great Falls. The Bulldogs fell in three games to the Bison, Sept. 11 in Butte.

Prep Cross Country
Butte High and Butte Central at Helena Invite, 12:30 p.m.

Butte High and Butte Central runners will get another barometer of where they stand Thursday at the Capital City 7 of 7 Invitational meet at the Bill Roberts Golf Course. The race will be run on the same course that will be used in the State championships. Butte’s runners had a strong showing at the Mountain West Saturday in Missoula.
