Dillon at Butte Central, 6 p.m.

It’s No. 1 vs. No. 3 Thursday at the Maroon Activities Center as the boys open the doubleheader. Top-ranked Dillon comes in at 12-1 overall and 6-0 in Southwestern A play. The Beavers’ only loss is to Class AA No. 1 Helena Capital. Troy Scott averages 20.2 points and 5.5 rebounds to lead the Beavers, who used their full-court zone press to beat Butte Central 64-48 Jan. 9 in Dillon. Junior Marcus Ferriter averages 12.5 points per game to lead three Maroons averaging in double figures. Nate Bolstad adds 12.2 points and 5.6 points to the lineup, while fellow senior Kale Guldseth scores 12.0 points per game. Bolstad scored 18 points Saturday as the No. 3 Maroons beat Hamilton 66-43 to roll their record to 12-2 and 6-1.

Prep girls’ basketball
Dillon at Butte Central, 7:30 p.m.

The girls’ game will be the nightcap as the Maroons (5-9, 3-4) celebrate Senior Parent Night. The team will honor seniors Chandra McCurdy, Shelby Paffhausen, Rylee Green and Courtney Thomas before tipoff. Paffhausen leads the Maroons in scoring with 8.6 points per game. Freshman Mollie Peoples, the fist off the bench, averages 7.9 points, while sophomores Ryan Trudnowski and Sierra Pica and freshman Emily St. John all average almost six points per game. Trudnowski pulls down six rebounds per game for the Maroons, who fell 48-24 at Dillon Jan. 9. Cierra Lamey’s 9.4 points per game lead the Beavers (9-4, 5-1). Alex Rouse, a 3-point threat, adds 8.8 points to the lineup, and Audrey Schurg scored 8.1 points per game.
