The Rustlers will be in town for a key Eastern AA doubleheader at Stodden Park. The games will broadcast on KBOW (550 AM, click here to listen online). Butte High has won five straight Eastern AA games and is 7-3 in conference and 11-6 overall. Jessica Robertson threw a one-hitter as Butte High split with Missoula Sentinel Tuesday, winning 1-0 and losing 15-1 in the non-conference twin bill. Hattie and Baylee Thatcher both hit triples to lead the Bulldogs at the plate. CMR is coming off Tuesday’s 3-1 loss to Great Falls High. Thursday’s doubleheader closes Butte High’s regular-season schedule.

The Bulldogs will get in one last tune up before next week’s Eastern AA Divisional meet in Great Falls when they battle the Hawks. They’ll also get a chance to compete on the track that will host this year’s Class AA State meet. Butte High’s boys’ and girls’ are coming off second-place performances at Saturday’s triangular with Missoula Sentinel and Billings Senior. The Bulldogs got victories from Natalee Faupel (triple jump), Hailey Hoagland (400), the girls’ 1,600, Keadon Caprara (300 hurdles), Peter Granger (long jump), Jake Dennehy (discus), Mitchell Harper (high jump), Kyle Christie (pole vault) and the boys 400-meter relay team that day.
