Following is a rundown of the Butte sports action on tap for Thursday, Dec. 20.

Prep Boys’ Basketball
Belgrade at Butte Central, 7 p.m.

The Maroons close out the pre-Christmas schedule by welcoming their former Central A foe to the Maroon Activities Center for a non-conference game. BC is looking to go to 4-2 on the season after beating Hamilton at home Tuesday. Brady Tippett averages a team-leading 16.4 points per game for BC. Marcus Ferriter (12 points), Nate Bolstad (11) and Danny Peoples (10) are coming off a double-digit performance in Tuesday’s win. Kale Guldseth scored 24 Saturday in a win over Anaconda. The Panthers are 4-1 after Tuesday’s 52-48 home win over Livingston. Jared Bryant scored 13 points in the win, which was the team’s fourth straight after a season-opening loss to Butte High. Jeremy Ragar and Trevor Mahn average 11.4 points per game to lead the team in scoring.

Prep Girls’ Basketball
Belgrade at Butte Central, 5:30 p.m.
Butte Central’s girls look to roll into the break with a 6-0 record in the non-conference tilt with the Panthers. The Maroons rolled to a 62-40 win over previously unbeaten Hamilton on the road Tuesday night. Danee Leary scored 17 points to lead the way in that victory. Hannah Stajcar and Mariah Cooney each scored 10, while Alysea Pica tossed in eight and Danika Neumann netted seven. The Panthers are 2-2 after Saturday’s 65-51 home win over Browning. Dylan Fowler scored 21 points in that win. Tanna Holliday added 15, while Taylor Woolman scored 10.
