DALLAS — The Montana Thunderblades’ run at the Tier II U16 national hockey tournament at the Dr. Pepper StarCenter ended with a silver medal Monday night.

Ryan Thompson scored an unassisted goal late in the third period, and Wyoming beat Montana 4-3 in the championship game. Stats

The game was a rematch of last year’s title game won by Montana. The Thunderblades also beat Wyoming in pool play in this year’s tournament.

Dawson Smith, Hazen McKay and Ryan Thompson scored coals for Montana, whose roster includs Butte’s Kody Chamberlin and Ethan Cooney.
